My plastic retainer has a split down the back. Is it possible to stick it back together?

It is still wearable but it is just awkward to get it out of my mouth as it is trying to bend where the split is. It is going to cost me �35 to get a new one. And that is a crazy amount of money for a piece of plastic in my opinion. Would super glue work? I realise that it will only last for a while but i can always re-stick it cant i? Any advice is appreciated :) Thank you!!
